What to do with abandoned baby squirrel?

we found a baby squirrel in our yard. he seems rather skinny. his tail is not fluffy, but rather long and gray. we were told not to pick him up (because that way he would never grow up in the wild), but we gave him fruit on a clear plate (manderine oranges and blueberries). It seemed as if he didn't know how to eat. we're going to try to feed him almonds now. when we go out into the yard, he follows us around. he keeps crying out but i'm certain his mother is gone because he doesn't have a nest and we haven't seen his mother. it's been two days now. What to do with abandoned baby squirrel?
I found this website and was curious myself, if I was in the same situation. Hope this helps........http://www.ehow.com/how_4469374_take-car鈥?/a>What to do with abandoned baby squirrel?
umm well stop feeding it cuz it could become dependent of u and it would never make it in the wild or release it when its old enough to be on its own or keep it as pet 鈽?jk
Take him to a wildlife rehabilitation center.
