Emergency, Baby Squirrel...?

Brother today found a baby squirrel crawling really bad right infron of our door step, we took it to the vet right away, they hardly looked at it, and just said they could put it down because they think it has had a bad fall or maybe been hit hard by something because there was blood from it's nose, then we said we would want to see how it goes because it didn't seem to be suffering and they said that was ok. When we took it home, it seemed to be fine, not 100% normal but tired and not really in shock or pain anymore although it seems to have really bad balance when we let it on the grass. All e have fed it so far is a few tiny tiny bits of bread and water, have no nuts right now, is there anything important i should know, tommorow we are going to take it to a better vet and gret their opinion... There was also the option of taking it to the zoo they said but isn't it better to release it back in it's original habitat, not so sure if the mother would want it if she found it again though...Emergency, Baby Squirrel...?
I have owned many squirrels. They are easy to care for. Do not feed him any more bread and water they can not digest it. Feed the baby goats milk with a small nipple. They sleep a lot and they do wake up at night and make loud noises saying they are hungry. Put the baby in a small bird cage with a towel so the baby can stay warm. When the baby gets a little older when his ears and eyes open more start weening him off the goats milk. Start putting him on squirrel food not to much nuts. When he gets older you can feed him more. I have feed mine peanut butter [very little] and nuts. Try feeding him more natural foods because the food that are in the bags at the store can kill them because it has too much sugar in the food. Do not feed him salty peanuts. These animals can be tamed they are very friendly :). If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me. Oh and the mother will not take him back because you have your sent on her baby and most likely will eat him. :(Emergency, Baby Squirrel...?
