My friend has one, she rescued it as a baby. It is very friendly and quite tame. It is now 6 months old. She lives in Northern Va.

I don't know if she would part with it or not. e-mail saywhatever@aol.comLooking to buy baby squirrel?
you cannot find them anywhere because you are not allowed to have them as a pet. they do not make good pets. i highly advise you to not have one as a pet.
well you can always ask the people who rescue them. my friend has a house filled with pets that shes rescued and some rescue peeps might have or now wher to get squirells
1. Make sure it is legal to own, considering squirrels are wildlife, it may not be legal.
It is great that you appreciate wildlife and want to be even closer to with a squirrely friend as a pet. However, as a wildlife rehabilitator I must advise against keeping a baby squirrel as a pet. Your average squirrel is a wild animal, not a domesticated one. There is an important, and major distinction between tame and domesticated. Squirrels have not been domesticated so even a tame one (that was perhaps poorly hand-raised) is still a wild animal. I encourage you to engage your wild neighbors in there own habitat; put out feeders or plant plants they would enjoy. It is what is right for both of you. Although I don't know where you live I am willing to bet it is illegal to own a squirrel as a pet without a permit.
NOT a good idea! get a Guinea pig!
