I keep finding dead baby squirrels and birds in my yard pond, why?

So far the death toll is 6 baby squirrels and 2 birds. Do you think something is killing them and putting them in there or are they just falling in? Really weird, I don't know what to think.I keep finding dead baby squirrels and birds in my yard pond, why?
do you have a shallow area where they can come to drink? it is possible they are drowning from trying to use your pond unsuccessfully.

build a marsh type area for them, use small flat rocks to give them a place to stand while drinking and bathing- and provide some coverage for them to feel safe (like some thick low plants

also take a sample of your water to a pet store that deals with fish and ask them to test it- it may have too much chlorine in it or something (if so the pet store can suggest additives to fix the problem)

if your problem still persists, then something is killing them and bringing them to u as gifts- do you have a cat?

either way, the marsh will make your pond more fun to watch- and its not too big of a project to undertake

Sounds like you have a stray cat problem, ask someone you know that has a dog if they'll bring it to your yard and let it mark its territory, should help keep the cats away.
they don't realize the danger or they are being placed in the pool by possibly a raccon who wishes to clean them before eating them.

Try leaving a beach baLL floating around the pool . The motion will alert the critters to ';something'; in the pool and they will stay away
