um, if its mom died u need to take it to a Qualified wildlife center, aparently u dont know enuff to take care of it and you arent helping the poor creature by starving it in your own home
Your local veterinary clinic is your best bet for advice. They have special formulas for orphaned animals. If it is a very young squirrel, it needs something as close to it's mother's milk as you can get.
I have friend who worked at a vet and has raised numerous babies over the years. She uses a high quality puppy formula mixed with whipping cream. I know it sounds strange but she says this helps to put the weight on. Also make sure they stay warm and remember to rub them to purge their system.
