HELP..i just found a baby squirrel,what should i do?

ok it looks exactly like a baby possum and i found him on the sidewalk yesterday...i put him in a dry bait bucket with some napkins and give him some milk every couple of hours...is milk good to give him?am i giving him enough or not enough milk?how long until he eats normal food?your answer is deeply appreciatedHELP..i just found a baby squirrel,what should i do?

you should call the animal control in you area.


You might think you are taking good care of the baby squirrel, but you might kill him. I am not saying that you will physically kill him, its just that if you don't know anything about squirrels, especially baby ones, you might do something wrong that could cause him to die. They are delicate. I am very sure you care very much for this babe, and I know you are trying to help him, but you really got to think for the squirrel. Call the animal control around your area and let the experts take care of him. He will be in safe hands with wild life care:)
You should quickly take him back where you found him... Put him in a box that he can get out of, but is protected from the elements in a safe place where you found him. If he is too young to be weaned, his mother won't be far. Leave it, then come back a few hours later. I'm sure his mom will find him and take him back home.

Call a wild life center to come and pick him up, they can properly care for the baby squirrel.
the squirrel would most likely normally be drinking it's mother's milk, so milk is probably the best thing to give it
