If you go to a vet, they will give you formula to feed them.

acorns if you are able to find them or have then around your house. otherwise i hear peanuts work well also.

If it`s a newborn, milk that`s been warmed, and crush local nuts very fine, add to the milk, and use an eye dropper to feed it. Don`t expect too much in any case, good luck.

Puppy or kitten formula milk such as LACTOL. You can get a dropper or syringe to feed it with. I really would take it to an animal hospital or wildlife shelter, as they have the expertise to cope with wild babies.
Normally a mixture of nuts. Squirrels are herbivores. Squirrels are territorial and horde nuts during the warmer months to have something to eat during the colder months.


You could even try suet made for birds.

Go to your local pet supply store and ask for KMR. Kitten Milk Replacement. It's a formula that takes the place of mothers milk. You'll have to bottle feed the squirrel until it's old enough to eat on it's own.

I usually just throw out slices of bread and let the animals go for it. Birds, squirrels whatever.
You first have to catch the mum squirrel. The you offer the mum's squirrel boobies to the baby squirrel,,,Mum's milk is the best!!!





Don't worry about those bite marks from the mum, it will heal. What is a few bites %26amp; stiches from the emergency ward compared to the joy of feeding a baby squirrel,,,,,,
