baby squirrels eat corn, bread, and walnuts. And you should take it to a vet.Found baby squirrel and need to know how to cre for it ,i.e. feeding.?
get hold of your local wildlife rescue they can tell you how to care for it
It may survive with your caring and attention, but when it grows up, it will have a big bite, so watch out.

I raise chinchillas.

I had seven born in the last month from two females.

Most are gentle and won't bite. One did bite me, but it was realy nothing and the squirrel will bite much harder and could be rabid.

Nice creatures from afar.
Dont know about rubbing their belly to make them poop and pee...

Fact is...you have to rub their anus with a warm soft cloth to stimulate them to go potty. This is what mother does after every feeding.

As the others have stated....you need a heating pad set on the lowest temperature....(!) They should be fed puppy formula....NOT cows milk. Cows milk will give them the squirts and they will die from dehydration. After a few weeks you can add a bit of baby cereal to the formula mix. They eat every 2-3 hrs so be prepared for sleepless nights. Eventually start them on seeds of different sorts...and then move onto peanuts...and finally harder shelled nuts such as walnuts. Squirrels do NOT make good pets so PLEASE make every effort to return them to their natural habitat. You need to try not to handle them any more than necessary! Once you set them free put a feeder in your yard. This will keep them close by and you can keep an eye on them;)
i think u should take it 2 a wildlife rescue it has more of a chance of living. or take it back 2 the spot the mother is probably lookiing fo it

Baby Squirrel or Orphaned ...DO NOT FEED the baby squirrels anything, especially cows milk. See the Frequently Asked Questions for answers to this and other questions that we get asked ...

I'm raising a baby squirrel right now!Puppy formala works great! but after he eats you should rud his belly to make him pee and poo (not joking)
Go to wal mart or the pet store and buy that milk for baby kittens to feed it with by bottle. Also get a heating pad and place wood shaving you buy at the pet store in an aquarium and turn the heating pad on under the aquarium, make sure you get a lid for the aquarium. When the baby weens and starts eating corn on the cob or out of the can and other veggies along with peanuts and a good mix of rodent feed, you can place it in a fettet cage to live. I raised 2 of them
I nursed a baby red squirrel back to health, and if I remember right the vet said to feed it milk from a syringe every 2-3 hours, which I did. He was awesome, but eventually I had to let him go. I was pretty happy with how it ended up though. I found him on the ground with blood coming out of his nose, and in a few months he healed,a s far as I could tell. I always wore thick working gloves when I handled him though, just in case. After he got bigger I put a dish of water in his cage and fed him corn and the honey and nuts chex mix. He loved that, he would stash pieces in the cage.

Anyway, take good care of your little guy, and good luck!
i do know they like acorns, chex mix.
if he doesn't apper to be sick or injured, set him free. If you keep him he will never learn to get his own food, and he won't be able to survive in the wild.
