Found baby squirrel in yard?

its eating and its eyes are open and its also drinking water but flies are after it.Will it be ok?Found baby squirrel in yard?
If you don't see it moving around a lot then you should do this put on glove or something and make a platform that you can hang on a tree then take the platform hang it on the a tree that's nearby that you see a bunch of leaves in one spot hang it on there then take the baby and put it on there make sure the platform is kind of like a cup so the baby won't fall out. Keep a watch on it to see if the mother comes back then don't do anything if the mother doesn't then take the baby to a wildlife center. SORRY THIS IS LONG.Found baby squirrel in yard?
maybe you should try to get it checked at with a vet it might have a disease or it is bothering the flies in some way.but i think you should try to get it checked out.
You can post the baby squirrel on craigslist.com and someone will see the ad and want to help.
I guess
If the flies are after it, it's probably not a good thing. How big is it? Do you know if the mother is still around? If it's really young and should still be with its mother, she should move him pretty quick. Keep an eye on him, but keep your distance.

If the mother hasn't gotten him and you're still worried you should take it to an licensed wild life rehabilitator. Don't try to raise it on your own! If you don't know where to find one, call your vet, they may know of someone who can help.
If you cannot find the nest to put it back, I would call a vet and get the phone number for a wildlife rehabber in your area. They will come out and check it and maybe take it with them to care for if it is still too young to be on its own. I do know little baby squirrels need to eat every 4 hours with a special milk replacer. I did wildlife rehab for 5 years, but mostly baby cottontail bunnies. My work wouldn't let me take squirrels to work to feed them often enough. Good luck, baby squirrels are very cute and you are doing a good thing.
