Always contact a local wildlife rehab center, for it is ILLEGAL to care for sick or injured animals yourself. At a rehab center, and there are certain protocol for caring for baby animals. If there are no rehabs near you, find a vet that will treat wildlife.

These people have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They also have the state and federal licenses required to keep the animals until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild.
