Who do I call to come take care of a baby squirrel?

It's on my back porch with no mommy and I'm afraid one of the cats will get him. Who can I call?Who do I call to come take care of a baby squirrel?
Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters !!!! You could try the humane society or the spca. In the meantime bring it inside and try feeding it with an eyedropper .with kitten formula or goats milk, or something handy winkwink..not cows milk, animal control may just put it down. good luck.try checking around he area you found ths one in and make sure there are no other orphansWho do I call to come take care of a baby squirrel?
If you have a park in your area, call the naturalist there. They keep animals like squirrels for people to look at. They would know what to feed the squirrel and how to take care of it, and when it grows up it can stay in the nature center and help educate people. In the meantime, you had better keep it away from the cats.
The best option right off is to contact a local conservation officer. They'll be able to assess fairly quickly what this squirrel's situation is and if it's in any danger.

Some other resources might be:

*local conservation or environmental groups

*area nature centers or nature education institutions

*your vet might even be able to help

This close to fall your squirrel might be just a little stressed from the initial separation from its mother. They look surprisingly small still when they begin to fend for themselves.

Good luck! Keep us posted on how the little fellow does.
You could try bottle feeding it
Animal control.
