Baby Squirrel?

My dog tried to kill a baby squirrel in our back yard. We thought it was dead but now it seems to be alive. Can we bring it inside and try to nurse it back to health? any suggestions? warnings?Baby Squirrel?
We had the same situation last spring - dog was killing the whole litter, but we got one away from her and tried to save it. Put in a spare rat cage, with a hot water bottle wrapping in a towel, water bottle, the whole thing. It drank, it ate, looked like it was going to survive, but at some point in the middle of the night, it died. Vet said likely internal bleeding from being grabbed up.

BUT, vet says, in the future, if it lasts 24 hours, it will likely survive and you should re-release into the wild as soon as you can.

kid hit enter button before I was finished - What I meant to say was the dog wasn't allowed to go outside without us standing guard with brooms and the original bunny died. It was a sad night :(

oh no poor baby bunny. It's really hard to tell on line. but the best thing you could do for the poor little thing is take it to the vet. If the vet can help it then that's great. If not, then perhaps he can put it to sleep to stop it suffering any longer. I don't know what you can do about your dog though, it's in their nature to hunt and play.
if it is a rabit than it's okay.take care of it
